The current situation is dyer, the City Council has voted to cap the number of collectives at 70 collectives and grandfathering in all the pre ICO collectives. This now forces LACA to again go to the courts to show that our members also deserve to be grandfathered in. That being said we also find that the City Council cannot come up with simple and sensible regulations to regulate the collectives, but instead voted to severely limit access to Collective. Our goal now is now to stop them from closing most of the Collectives with two fold strategy; first by fighting the discriminatory ordinance in court by seeking another preliminary injunction that would stop the city from enforcing the ordinance; and second to provide our own sensible regulations to present to the voters at the ballet box, by collecting 50,000 signatures from Los Angeles registered voters and stopping the ordinance from going into effect. |
